Lian Xiong

Collaborative Piano Art Director of the Orchestra Department, Sichuan Conservatory of Music; Director of the Piano Art Guidance Society, Sichuan Musicians Association. Graduated from Sichuan Conservatory of Music with a major in Music Performance, studying under Professor Guo Yourong of the Piano Department. During her studies, she won multiple awards in domestic and international piano competitions, and received high praise for her participation in all previous masterclasses by foreign experts at Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
Since graduation, she has continuously served as the Collaborative Piano Art Director for the Orchestra Department of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, participating in nearly 100 concerts and performances. She has collaborated with renowned artists including violinists Professor Huang Bin and Professor Dong Kun; professors Li Lansong, Yuan Yuan, Wei Weidong, and Man Yi from the Central Conservatory of Music; flutist Professor Ma Yong; clarinetists Professor Bai Tie (based in the U.S.), Robin Jones (U.S. clarinetist); bassoonists Xiaoshan Zhaoxiong (Tianjin Juilliard School), Zhou Xiangyu (clarinetist), and Martin Kuskman (bassoonist), with her artistry widely recognized by domestic and international performers.
Xiong Lian has long served as a piano art director for national and international competitions and art festivals, including the Buffet National Clarinet Competition, Sichuan Double Reed Art Festival and Competition, Tianjin Jinbao National Bassoon Competition, and China Kunming International Music Festival Summer Camp. She has also acted as an art director in multiple editions of the Qingdao National Violin Music Competition and the National Golden Bell Award Competition. Her professional excellence has been repeatedly recognized: in 2017, she won the “Outstanding Art Guidance Award” at the 4th Tangyun Jiahua International Contrabass Competition; in 2018, she received the “Outstanding Piano Art Guidance Award” at the 7th National Youth Cello Competition; in 2023, she was awarded the “Outstanding Art Guidance Award” at the 14th China Music Golden Bell Awards Sichuan Qualifying Competition; in 2024, she was named “Best Art Director” by the Sichuan Clarinet Association, and selected as an official art director for the 3rd Flute International Art Festival (South Korea).
In 2019, Xiong Lian was specially appointed as a Collaborative Piano Art Director by the Sichuan Clarinet Association, continuously contributing professional expertise to the development of the industry.
