Final Results | 2026 Chengdu International Clarinet Competition

The final round of the 2026 Chengdu International Clarinet Competition successfully concluded in Chengdu on August 29. Following intense competition through the First Round, Semi-Final, and Final, outstanding clarinetists from different countries and regions gathered in Chengdu to compete on the final stage, presenting a memorable celebration of clarinet artistry.

After a highly competitive final round, Seoyoung Lee of South Korea was awarded First Prize. Lev Zhuravskii of Russia received Second Prize, while Yan Maratka of France was awarded Third Prize. Sangjin Park of South Korea received Fourth Prize, Erqi Shou of China received Fifth Prize, and Sofia Mekhonoshina of Russia received Sixth Prize.

In addition to the main competition prizes, three special awards were presented to recognize outstanding achievements in specific areas of performance. Songze Li of China received the Best Chinese Work Performance Award; Yan Maratka of France received the Best Chamber Music Performance Award; and Erqi Shou of China was presented with the Most Potential Award.

From the Preliminary Round through to the Final, the contestants demonstrated strong technical abilities, distinctive artistic personalities, and compelling stage performances, showcasing the exceptional talent and artistry of today’s young clarinetists. The competition provided a valuable platform for talented performers to perform, exchange ideas, and develop artistically, while also fostering musical and cultural exchange among musicians from different countries and regions.
