Satsuki Kobayashi is a clarinetist from Japan. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the Tokyo University of the Arts, where he started his studies in 2023 and is expected to graduate in March 2027. He has received professional guidance from outstanding teachers: his principal teachers include Hidemi Mikai, the Principal Clarinet of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, and Kei Ito, the Principal Clarinet of the NHK Symphony Orchestra, which lays a solid foundation for his musical development.

Satsuki Kobayashi has achieved remarkable results in important music competitions. In 2025, he won the 3rd Prize in the 38th Japan Woodwind Competition and became a finalist in the 11th Japan Clarinet Competition. These achievements fully reflect his excellent musical literacy and outstanding performance ability in clarinet playing.

In addition to his academic and competition achievements, Satsuki Kobayashi also actively participates in various music activities to improve his skills. He has participated in the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra and the Kyoto International French Music Academy, and has studied under Florent Héau. He was also selected as a performer in the Final Student Concert. His selected repertoire includes classic works such as Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 74, Brahms’ Clarinet Sonata No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 120, and other masterpieces, showing his profound understanding of music.
