Zane Gim is a South Korean clarinetist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where he studies with Prof. Fabio Di Càsola. He previously studied at the Korea National University of Arts and graduated from Seoul Arts High School.
In 2023, he was named a laureate of the International Competition Belgian Clarinet Patrimony. In 2024, he won First Prize at the 7th Swiss International Music Competition Woodwind and received an Honorable Mention at the VI Silverstein Clarinet Contest. In 2025, he was selected as a participant in the 7th Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition.
He performed as a soloist at the 12th European Clarinet Congress in December 2023 and at Prague Clarinet Days the same year, including the “The Best OF(F)” concert. He also collaborated in chamber music with the Zemlinsky Quartet at the Day of Clarinet in Ghent in December 2023.
He has participated in masterclasses and lessons with Yehuda Gilad, Florent Héau, Romain Guyot, Philippe Cuper, Han Kim, Victor Fernandes, and Ludmila Peterkova.
