Sungho Lee is a talented clarinetist with a solid academic background in music. He pursued his Bachelor of Music (BM) at Korea National University of Arts from 2016 to 2021, then continued his Master of Music (MM) studies at the same university from 2022 to 2024. He is set to pursue his Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) at Sangmyung University starting from 2026, demonstrating his continuous pursuit of professional excellence in the field of music.
He has achieved remarkable results in various music competitions at home and abroad. In 2022, he won the 2nd Prize in the Concerto Competition of the Philadelphia International Music Festival. In 2021, he obtained the 2nd Prize in the Wind Section of the Korea Broadcasting System Concour, as well as the 1st Prize in both the Sungjung Concour and the Nanpa Concour. Additionally, he was a semifinalist in the 2020 Mercadante International Clarinet Competition and won the 3rd Prize in the Chamber Music section of the 2020 Korea Music Association Concour, along with the 1st Prize in the Wind Section of the 2019 Seoul Art Concour.
Sungho Lee also has rich performance experience as a soloist and orchestra member. As a soloist, he performed with the Korea Clarinet Ensemble at Youngsan Art Hall in 2014 and Sejong Chamber Hall in 2016, and later collaborated with the KBS Symphony Orchestra in 2021 and the Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022. In 2022, he served as a member of the Orchestre de Paris Academy and performed under the guidance of Klaus Makela.
