Zhu Kepei, born in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China in 2010, enrolled in the Affiliated Secondary Music School of Sichuan Conservatory of Music in 2022, where she studies clarinet under the guidance of young clarinetist Sun Zhen. She has won the first place in Group D3 (Under 14 Years Old) of the Clarinet category at the 95th Leopold Bellan International Music Competition in France; the first place in Group B (Under 14 Years Old) at the 2021 Thailand International Clarinet Competition; the first place in Group S4 (Under 14 Years Old) of the Woodwind category at the Iscart International Music Competition in Switzerland; the Silver Medal in the Junior Group at the 1st Witold Friemann International Clarinet Competition in Poland; the first place in Group B (Under 13 Years Old) at the 2021 “Buffet Cup” China Youth Clarinet Competition; the first place in the Professional Junior Group at the 2023 “Buffet Cup” China Youth Clarinet Competition; and the fourth place in the Under 18 Performer Competition held by the International Clarinet Association in Ireland in 2024. She currently serves as the principal clarinetist of the Wind Orchestra at the Affiliated Secondary Music School of Sichuan Conservatory of Music.
