Li Yixin is currently a student pursuing a Performance Diploma, studying under Prof. Thorsten Johanns—a renowned clarinetist and professor of clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar in Germany. He graduated from Xi’an Conservatory of Music with a bachelor’s degree, where He studied under Associate Professor Li Xin, a clarinetist educated in Germany. During his master’s studies, He consecutively studied under Prof. Joachim Klemm and Prof. Fabian Dirr, both clarinet professors at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. Additionally, He received guidance and support from Daniel Hochstöger, Principal Clarinet of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, and Moritz Pettke, Bass Clarinetist of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. Throughout his academic journey, He was invited to participate in the orchestral performances of the new opera projects “Andere die Welt” and “Humanoid” at the Semperoper Dresden, as well as the performance of a new work by Friedrich Haas, a composer commissioned by the opera house in 2024—all of which earned him unanimous recognition and high praise. At the end of January 2025, He graduated with an overall score of 1.1 and a perfect score of 1.0 in his graduation concert, and was subsequently admitted to the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar to further his studies and pursue a Performance Diploma.
