Yookyung Nam

Yoo kyung Nam earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Korea National University of Arts, where she developed a distinguished artistic foundation.

She was selected as a member of the National Symphony Orchestra Academy and has served as Guest Associate Principal with the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra. As an orchestral musician, she has collaborated with leading ensembles including the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, the Seoul Chamber Orchestra, the One Korea Orchestra, and the Going Home Orchestra.

A prizewinner of numerous prestigious competitions, she has been awarded the Grand Prize at the Seongjeong Music Competition and the Youngchang Music Competition, as well as First Prize at both the Music Journal Competition and the Music Education Newspaper Competition. She has further distinguished herself with top awards at several major national competitions, including the Overseas Dispatch Competition, the Buffet Crampon Competition, the WooHyun Competition, and the Kukmin Ilbo–Hansei University Competition.

She has appeared as a soloist with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, demonstrating both artistic sensitivity and technical brilliance.

She is currently a member of the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, where she continues to pursue a dynamic and versatile performing career.
